It is important for the Ministry of Health to monitor the total number of COVID-19 tests conducted, and the number of positive tests returned in order to describe the current outbreak scenario and inform the COVID-19 response in Vanuatu.
It is a requirement of the Ministry of Health that all COVID-19 tests conducted, and the total number positive, are reported each day to the Vanuatu National Surveillance Unit.
Both PCR and rapid antigen testing should both be reported. Government-acquired and privately purchased tests should both be reported.
The following groups must complete the required reporting:
- All Government-run hospitals and health clinics that conduct COVID-19 testing
- All private clinics that conduct COVID-19 testing
- All workplaces conducting employee screening
- Any other groups identified by the Ministry of Health
Any positive tests received will also require the Notification Form to be completed.
