- A person who arrived to Vanuatu from Fiji on the 24th of November and another who arrived from Australia on 1st of December 2021 who were detected as active COVID-19 cases have now received medical clearance and have been discharged from isolation.
A person who arrived to Vanuatu from Fiji on the 24th of November and another who arrived from Australia on 1st of December 2021 who were detected as active COVID-19 cases have now received medical clearance. They are classified as fully recovered and pose no COVID-19 threat to any other person. Both will therefore be discharged from isolation today and will be reunited with the families and communities for the festive season.
- Two active cases of COVID-19 have been detected in quarantine. One was a passenger who arrived to Vanuatu on a flight from Fiji on 24 November 2021 and the other arrived on the 1 December 2021 on a flight from Australia. Neither of the passengers showed any signs or symptoms of COVID-19. Samples will be sent overseas to determine the COVID-19 variant for each.

A passenger who arrived on the 24th of November 2021 on a flight from Fiji and another who arrived on 1st of December 2021 on a flight from Australia have both been confirmed as active cases of COVID-19. Both passengers met all health requirements to travel to Vanuatu, including vaccination and testing, and are currently in quarantine. Neither of the passengers showed any symptoms of COVID-19. Samples will be sent overseas to determine the COVID- 19 variant for each.
